প্রভু তাঁর চুক্তির কথা তোমাদের বলেছিলেন এবং দশটি আজ্ঞা দিয়ে তোমাদের সেগুলো মেনে চলতে বলেছিলেন| সেই বিধিগুলো প্রভু দুটি পাথরের ফলকের ওপরে লিখেছিলেন|
