এই কথা শুনে তাঁর দেখাদেখি তারাও ডালগুলো কেটে ফেলল| তারপর এল্-বরীত্‌ মন্দিরের সবচেয়ে নিরাপদ ঘরের গায়ে সেগুলো তারা জড়ো করল| আগুন লাগিয়ে দিল ডালগুলোয| সেখানে যারা ছিল তাদের পুড়িয়ে মারল| এই ভাবে শিখিম দুর্গের কাছে বসবাসকারী প্রায় 1,000 নরনারী মারা গেল|
