আপল্লো যখন করিন্থে ছিলেন তখন পৌল সেই অঞ্চলের মধ্য দিয়ে য়েতে য়েতে ইফিষে এসে পৌঁছলেন৷ সেখানে তিনি য়োহন বাপ্তাইজকের কয়েকজন অনুগামীর দেখা পেলেন৷
