প্রভু আমার সদাপ্রভু বলেন, “আমি প্রতিশ্রুতি করছি, আমি আমার অন্তর্জ্বালায কথা বলব| দেখব যেন ইদোম ও অন্য জাতিরা আমার রোধ অনুভব করতে পারে| ঐ জাতিগণ তাদের নিজেদের স্বার্থে আমার দেশ হস্তগত করেছে| এই দেশের প্রতি ঘৃণা প্রকাশ করার দিনগুলো তাদের ভালোই কেটেছে| সেই দেশ তারা কেবল ধ্বংস করার জন্যই অধিকার করেছিল!”

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Surely in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken against the residue of the heathen, and against all Idumea, which have appointed my land into their possession with the joy of all their heart, with despiteful minds, to cast it out for a prey.

The Lord God says, "I swear, I will let my strong feelings speak for me! I will let Edom and the other nations feel my anger. They took my land for themselves. They really had a good time when they showed how much they hated this land. They took the land for themselves, just so they could destroy it."
