এরপর সারা মিশরে ও কনান দেশে প্রচণ্ড খরা হল৷ এমন খরা যাতে কোন ফসল উত্‌পন্ন হল না, এতে লোকেরা মহাকষ্টে পড়ল৷ আমাদের পিতৃপুরুষদের খাদ্যবস্তুর অভাব হল৷
