মোয়াবের রাজা মিদিযনের নেতাদের বললেন, “গরু যেভাবে মাঠের সমস্ত ঘাস খেযে ফেলে, ঠিক সেভাবেই এই বিশাল জনগোষ্ঠী আমাদের চারপাশের সমস্ত কিছুই ধ্বংস করে দেবে|”এই সময় সিপ্পোরের পুত্র বালাক মোয়াবের রাজা ছিলেন|
