“প্রভু আমার চারিদিকে এমন দুরবস্থা কিন্তু আপনি আমাকে বলেছেন, ‘যিরমিয়, সাক্ষীর উপস্থিতিতে রৌপ্য় মুদ্রার বিনিময়ে ঐ জমিটা কিনে নাও|’ আপনি আমাকে এ কথা বলছেন যখন বাবিলের সৈন্যদল শহর আক্রমণ করবার জন্য প্রস্তুত| “তাহলে কেন আমি এই অবস্থায় জমি কিনে অর্থ নষ্ট করব?”
