য়োহনও শালীমের নিকট ঐনোন নামক স্থানে বাপ্তাইজ করছিলেন, কারণ সেখানে প্রচুর জল ছিল; আর লোকেরা তাঁর কাছে এসে বাপ্তিস্ম নিচ্ছিল৷
