অনেক পাথর চাপিয়ে দিল| সেই সব পাথর আজও সেখানে দেখা যাবে| এভাবেই ঈশ্বর আখনের বিনাশ ঘটালেন| এই কারণে ঐ জায়গাটিকে বলা হয় আখোর উপত্যকা| এর পর ইস্রায়েলের ওপর প্রভুর ক্রোধ প্রশমিত হয়|

They piled a great heap of stones over Achan, which remains to this day. That is why the place has been called the Valley of Trouble ever since. So the LORD was no longer angry.

Then they erected over him a large pile of stones (it remains to this very day) and the LORD's anger subsided. So that place is called the Valley of Disaster to this very day.

After they burned Achan, they put many rocks over his body. The rocks are still there today. That is why it is called the Valley of Achor. After this the Lord was not angry with the people.
