আমি পৃথিবীতে আরো কিছু জিনিস লক্ষ্য করলাম| য়ে জোরে দৌড়ায সে সবসময় প্রতিয়োগীতায জেতে না; একটি শক্তিশালী সৈন্যদল সব সময় যুদ্ধে জেতে না| জ্ঞানী ব্যক্তি সব সময় তার কষ্টোপার্জিত আহার পায় না, য়ে চালাক সে সব সময় সম্পদ পায় না| এক জন বিষ্ঠান ব্যক্তি সব সময় তার প্রাপ্য য়শ পায় না| এমন সময় আসে যখন প্রত্যেকের কাছে আশাতীত প্রতিকুলতা ঘটে|

I have observed something else under the sun. The fastest runner doesn't always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn't always win the battle. The wise sometimes go hungry, and the skillful are not necessarily wealthy. And those who are educated don't always lead successful lives. It is all decided by chance, by being in the right place at the right time.

Again, I observed this on the earth: the race is not always won by the swiftest, the battle is not always won by the strongest; prosperity does not always belong to those who are the wisest, wealth does not always belong to those who are the most discerning, nor does success always come to those with the most knowledge— for time and chance may overcome them all.

I also saw other things in this life that were not fair. The fastest runner does not always win the race; the strongest soldier does not always win the battle; wise people don't always get the food; smart people don't always get the wealth; educated people don't always get the praise they deserve. When the time comes, bad things can happen to anyone!
