পৌল সেখানে এলে জেরুশালেম থেকে য়েসব ইহুদীরা এসেছিল তারা চারপাশে ঘিরে দাঁড়িয়ে তাঁর বিরুদ্ধে এমন সব জঘন্য অপরাধের কথা বলতে লাগল, যার কোন প্রমাণ তারা নিজেরাই দিতে পারল না৷
