কিন্তু য়ে ঐ ব্যক্তিটির পেছনে ধাওযা করবে সে হয়তো শহরে এসে তার পিছু নিতে পারে| এরকম ঘটলে নেতারা য়েন তাকে তাড়া করা ব্যক্তিটির হাতে ধরিযে না দেয়| তারা আশ্রয়প্রার্থীকে নিশ্চয়ই রক্ষা করবে| তারা এই কারণেই তাকে রক্ষা করবে য়ে, সে ইচ্ছা করে কাউকে হত্যা করে নি| সেটা নিছকই একটা দুর্ঘটনা| সে রেগে গিয়ে কাউকে হত্যা করবে বলে হত্যা করে নি| এটা হঠাত্‌ই ঘটে গেছে|

If the relatives of the victim come to avenge the killing, the leaders must not release the slayer to them, for he killed the other person unintentionally and without previous hostility.

When the avenger of blood comes after him, they must not hand over to him the one who committed manslaughter, for he accidentally killed his fellow man without premeditation.

If someone chases you and follows you to that city, the leaders of the city must not give you up. They must protect you because you came to them for safety after killing someone by accident— you were not angry and did not plan to kill the person. It was something that just happened.
