ঈশ্বর তখন বাবিলরাজকে দিয়ে যিহূদা ও জেরুশালেম আক্রমণ করালেন| বাবিলরাজ এসে সমস্ত তরুণদের এমনকি মন্দিরে উপাসনারত লোকদেরও হত্যা করলেন| নিষ্ঠুরভাবে, কোনো দয়ামাযা না দেখিয়ে তিনি স্ত্রী-পুরুষ, শিশু-বৃদ্ধ, সুস্থ-অসুস্থ, যিহূদা ও জেরুশালেমের সমস্ত ব্যক্তিকে নির্বিচারে হত্যা করলেন| প্রভুই তাকে যিহূদা ও জেরুশালেমের লোকদের শাস্তি দেবার অধিকার দিয়েছিলেন|

So the LORD brought the king of Babylon against them. The Babylonians killed Judah's young men, even chasing after them into the Temple. They had no pity on the people, killing both young men and young women, the old and the infirm. God handed all of them over to Nebuchadnezzar.

So God brought the king of Babylon to attack the people of Judah and Jerusalem. The king of Babylon killed the young men even when they were in the Temple. He didn't have mercy on the people of Judah and Jerusalem. The king of Babylon killed young and old people. He killed men and women. He killed sick and healthy people. God permitted Nebuchadnezzar to punish the people of Judah and Jerusalem.
