31. নিরূপিত কালে পূরীমের সেই দুই দিন পালন করিবার বিষয় স্থির করিলেন; যেমন উপবাস ও ক্রন্দনের বিষয়ে যিহূদী মর্দখয় ও ইষ্টের রাণী যিহূদীদের জন্য স্থির করিয়াছিলেন, এবং যেমন তাহারাও আপনাদের জন্য ও আপন আপন বংশের জন্য স্থির করিয়াছিল।

Mordecai the Jew and Queen Esther had sent out the command for the Jews to establish this two-day festival for themselves and their descendants. They will remember this festivals just as they remember the other festivals when they fast and cry about the bad things that had happened.
