হে আমার মনিব, হে রাজা, আমার কথা শুনুন| আপনি যদি আমার ওপর রাগ করে থাকেন এবং প্রভু যদি এর কারণ হয়ে থাকেন তাহলে তাঁকে তাঁর নৈবেদ্য গ্রহণ করতে দিন| কিন্তু যদি লোকদের কারণে আপনি আমার ওপর রাগ করে থাকেন, তাহলে প্রভু যেন তাদের মন্দ করেন| প্রভু আমায় যে দেশ দান করেছেন সেই দেশ আমি লোকদেরই চাপে ত্যাগ করতে বাধ্য হয়েছি| তারা আমায় বলেছে, ‘যাও, ভিন্দেশীদের সঙ্গে বাস করো| সেখানে গিয়ে অন্য মূর্ত্তির পূজা করো|’

Now therefore, I pray thee, let my lord the king hear the words of his servant. If the LORD have stirred thee up against me, let him accept an offering: but if they be the children of men, cursed be they before the LORD; for they have driven me out this day from abiding in the inheritance of the LORD, saying, Go, serve other gods.

So let my lord the king now listen to the words of his servant. If the LORD has incited you against me, may he take delight in an offering. But if men have instigated this, may they be cursed before the LORD! For they have driven me away this day from being united with the LORD's inheritance, saying, 'Go on, serve other gods!'

ERVEN

My master and king, listen to me. If the Lord caused you to be angry with me, let him accept an offering. But if men caused you to be angry with me, I ask the Lord to curse them because they forced me to leave the land that the Lord gave me and told me to go serve other gods.
