নখো রাজা য়োশিযকে বার্তাবাহক মারফত্‌ জানালেন, “মহারাজ, আমি আপনার বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করতে আসি নি| এটি আদৌ আপনার কোনো সমস্যা নয়| আমি আমার শএুদের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করতে এসেছি কারণ ঈশ্বর আমার পক্ষে এবং তিনি আমাকে দ্রুত কাজ শেষ করতে বলেছেন| তাই আমাকে থামাবেন না, তাহলে ঈশ্বর আপনাকে ধ্বংস করবেন|”

But he sent ambassadors to him, saying, What have I to do with thee, thou king of Judah? I come not against thee this day, but against the house wherewith I have war: for God commanded me to make haste: forbear thee from meddling with God, who is with me, that he destroy thee not.
