আসার সেনাবাহিনীতে যিহূদা জনগোষ্ঠীর মোট 3,00,000 বল্লমধারী সেনা ও বিন্যামীন জনগোষ্ঠীর 2,80,000 ধনুর্ধর সেনা ছিল| যিহূদার সৈনিকরা বল্লম ও ঢাল নিয়ে যুদ্ধ করতেন| বিন্যামীনের সৈনিকরা ছোট ছোট ঢাল এবং তীরধনুক নিয়ে যুদ্ধ করতে পারতেন| এঁরা সকলেই ছিলেন সাহসী ও বীর য়োদ্ধা|
