5:14. তখন হামনের স্ত্রী সেরশ ও হামনের বন্ধুরা পরামর্শ দিলেন, “কাউকে দিয়ে একটা বড় 75 ফুট মতো থাম্বা বানিয়ে, রাজাকে বলো সকাল বেলা ওটায মর্দখয়কে ফাঁসি দিতে| আর তারপর খুশি মনে রাজাকে নিয়ে ভোজসভায় য়েও!”এই প্রস্তাবটা হামনের বেশ মনে ধরায, তিনি মর্দখয়কে ফাঁসি দেবার জন্য স্তম্ভ বানাতে হুকুম দিলেন|

5:14. Haman's wife Zeresh and all his friends said to him, "Have a gallows seventy-five feet high built, and in the morning tell the king that Mordecai should be hanged on it. Then go with the king to the banquet contented." It seemed like a good idea to Haman, so he had the gallows built.

5:14. So Haman's wife, Zeresh, and all his friends suggested, "Set up a sharpened pole that stands seventy-five feet tall, and in the morning ask the king to impale Mordecai on it. When this is done, you can go on your merry way to the banquet with the king." This pleased Haman, and he ordered the pole set up.

In the morning, ask the king to hang Mordecai on it. Then go to the party with the king and you can be happy." Haman liked this suggestion, so he ordered someone to build the hanging post.
