36:12. কিন্তু সেনাপতি বলল, “আমার প্রভু শুধুমাত্র তোমাদের ও তোমাদের মনিবের সঙ্গে কথা বলতে পাঠান নি| আমার মনিব প্রাচীরে বসে থাকা লোকদের সঙ্গেও কথা বলতে নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন| ঐসব লোকদের জন্য যথেষ্ট খাদ্য ও জল থাকবে না| তোমাদের মতো, ওদেরও নিজেদের বর্য়্জ পদার্থ ও নিজেদের প্রস্রাব খেতে হবে|”

36:12. But the chief adviser said, "My master did not send me to speak these words only to your master and to you. His message is also for the men who sit on the wall, for they will eat their own excrement and drink their own urine along with you!"

36:12. But Sennacherib's chief of staff replied, "Do you think my master sent this message only to you and your master? He wants all the people to hear it, for when we put this city under siege, they will suffer along with you. They will be so hungry and thirsty that they will eat their own dung and drink their own urine."
