38:11. তখন যিহূদা তার বৌমা তামরকে বলল, “যাও, তোমার পিতার বাড়ী ফিরে যাও| য়ে পর্য্ন্ত না আমার ছোট পুত্র শেলা বড় হয় সে পর্য্ন্ত বিয়ে না করে সেখানেই থাক|” যিহূদা আসলে ভয় পেয়েছিলেন, ভেবেছিলেন অন্য ভাইদের মতো হয়তো শেলাও মারা যাবে| তামর তার পিতার বাড়ী ফিরে গেল|

38:11. Then Judah said to his daughter-in-law Tamar, "Live as a widow in your father's house until Shelah my son grows up." For he thought, "I don't want him to die like his brothers." So Tamar went and lived in her father's house.
